You will need a Greek tax number before you can start the purchase process. For any property purchase in Greece, it is necessary for EU citizens and non-EU countries to apply for an AFM (Arithmos Forologiku Mitrou). It is a simple Greek identification number for Greek
citizens, EU citizens and non-EU citizens that is required for the purchase process. You cannot sign a deed of sale at the notary without
this number. We can assist you with the application and take care of all the necessary steps for you in exchange for a power of attorney.
